This Little Wonderland of Mine

再不写就都要忘记了 what happened on Thursday?

早晨开车开了n远跑去拿Division Party用的Toy for Tots 的 poster. 那一路艰辛啊…. 然后跑去Offsite (Corner market in the morning, COSI pita and good salad for lunch), then, I don’t remember. Ohoh, Wine Tasting @ 5pm, I skipped in the middle (I did like Riesling, but still can’t really appreciate wine, had a lot of cheese though) British Television Commercial Award with Ray and Josh, Josh was late so we missed the first 25 mins and he suffered from Ray and me picking at him all evening. We went to this authentic (authentic defined by Ray) Mexican place, the Chile Relleno is delicious.

Friday, big day! Divisional Party! It was pretty good, I had one Blueberry Tea and two “fale” Pina Colada, both of which are really good. The city looked beautiful at night. Food was good, OMG the dessert…. It is killing me! The band was excellent, better than I have thought.  It was a lot of fun planning and I am glad I stretched myself and did it! Learnt a lot along the way!

Karaoke after that, my voice was totally destroyed by trying to talk to people during the divisional party. Gave a ride to Elisabeth home, Independent after that. Stayed to 2pm (bar closing time) for the first time, met a few new people and Byran was so funny. I even cooked Glutinous Rice Ball (汤圆) for Josh, Byran and Santish…

Saturday, Philly and her boyfriend wanted to get the tires changed because they got a flat tire the night before on highway, really dangerous. So I went to Costco with them and Josh got here when I came back. Erick was in town and he alleged that he’s never been to MOA before, so off we went for holiday shopping and needlessly to say, spend some money. For dinner we decided to revisit the Mexican place and Ray decided to join us, it was so good hanging out with friends! Williams after that, played pool for a little while (reminds me of the days watching snookers with Star) and went to Chaoyun’s place for Apple’s to Apple’s ( lost to Erick on the second game, grrrr). But why all of a sudden people began to talk euphemistically dirty? Ray is the culprit by starting with the balls and he doesn’t even know… alright, I’ll stop.

Sunday, tried all morning (actually only one hour to learn how to tie the scarf creatively, turned out it only proved to me that I am not a very artistic person… anyway with no avail) Erick and Baobao got here and played with the chins for a while, took some really good pictures! Dinner @ True Thai, my mouth becomes watery when I think of the Thai spicy phad Thai ~

Today, meeting meeting meeting and meeting.  The Hispanic Marketing Mix working session was not too bad, Thank God. The first project I actually managed…. Wasn’t too bad.  Saw Hugh today, but that Salty meeting was BORING, I don’t even know what Lana was trying to say… He still catches my eye, but everything seems so far away now. I was thinking about talking to him but he sat far away and I had to leave early to set up the Hispanic Marketing Mix meeting.  I decided not to talk to him before I go but I will grab postcard and a small gift from Cambodia for him.  He will always be somebody special.

Shopping after work, tried to get visa interview schedule but they only have Jan 8^th open in Beijing, I’ll see if I can book an earlier date tomorrow. What else, Cong wrote me a short letter. I don’t know, I feel close to him but I don’t feel romantic about him. So weird and can’t figure out what to do. BTW, talked to Frankie using Gtalk which was good, I hardly think anything will come out of it but it is always good to have a friend in Montreal!

Need to take a shower and read, tomorrow is going to be a long day… need to move my chins!

It meant to test my driving skill, got scared a little bit.  Just remember, go very very SLOW

Otherwise it was a learning day with a lot of food.  I was trying to search the Disney Ad “Signs” without any success. (A fantastic commercial though)

Got my orders from Amazon including this book called “If” and I think I will do two or three every day.  

What else is going on? It feels good to have someone to care about you, but…I just hope he gets the idea that it is ABSOLUTELY not possible. I begin to feel uneasy about how things going… but that’s the least of my worry now. So tired and super busy…

I have to admit that I am still thinking about him, not much, but I do still think about him.

无聊的在翻一本给9-13岁小孩子看的英文小说 发现还是有生词 upset中 这么多年的英语都白学了啊 I decide to give myself intensive English language training… especially fast reading..

Snow storm is never fun, 看起来也不像普通下雪那样安静和漂亮 下午有段时间depress了一下下 准备回家的时候突然看到Hugh在等电梯 悄悄的避开等下一班 I guess I am not really ready after all, 特别在这样的阴郁的日子 (不知道之前在printing room里面他有没有看到我呢) 在高速上开车听到Bubbly还没有忍住抹了抹眼泪 唉 简直是自作自受 （But like I said, it is not because I can’t forget about him, it is because I don’t want to forget about him and the wonderful feeling, 正如一首歌里唱的那样 I would rather hurt than not feeling at all）  The thing I missed most about the first love is the crazy feeling, the passion and urge that you can give up anything, everything, like dancing in the fire…but now, it’s been so long that I don’t even remember that anymore and I simply don’t want to forget this part of my life. 

不过work out以后心情就好很多 明天要去Multicultural Immersion Offsite

Although I love my life now and I am satisfied, but I don’t know how long I can live my life like this; something is still missing and I am not talking about relationship here.. u know what I am talking about…hehe~

最近忙的崩溃 周三周四都是offsite 周五晚上divisional holiday party 还有一堆meeting

恨不得掰开来用 so that I can do more stuffs

办了Cambodia的签证  work out 一个小时 看了一集CSI 和昨天剩下的Goodfellas (哎 对黑帮的电影 始终也没有太大的兴趣 看看就好) 还翻了几页小说书 (阿 怎么读英文小说的速度就那么慢呢…)  

睡觉睡觉 明天早晨还要给家里打电话

BTW 龙猫小朋友们居然把墙啃的不堪入目… 服了….

周六早晨从Amazon上买了些东西 应该可以及时到 研究了一下H1B签证的事情 去了Patrick’s Bakery & Cafe 据说是很好的French Bakery 居然没有带钱包 只好用quarters点了个Chocolate Croissant 和一杯杯咖啡 下午安静的在图书馆看了本随手从书架上抽出来的书

 晚上Baobao同学拉着我去她们来开会的学生一起hang out 物理系果然还是有些可入眼的人 but as usually, they are pretty much not available any more…. Still, it is really good to be among young people! I feel like myself again!

Alright, alright, there is this French Canadian guy, we did have a funny and embarrassing conversation about ice hockey “goalkeeper”… and I am flattered that he said “It is really nice to spend the night with a pretty girl” when I left and hugged him. But he lives in Montreal and so much for YY…

流于形式的事情 在美国也是大大的存在 今天下午Snacks CI的holiday event在downtown的Ivy Hotel 节目是给woman shelter买Christmas gift.  I mean the idea is very good, but you don’t have to rent an expensive meeting room in a luxury hotel plus valet, food and wine to do all those stuffs.  It is just a waste of money! If you want to have fun, have fun. Don’t waste money pretending do charity stuffs, I don’t get it. Well, I don’t have anything to complain because, 毕竟生命中第一次valet啊 呵呵 上次在Las Vegas 说了半天 最终也由于是囊中羞涩作罢 this time, better still, I don’t have to pay.

吃了很多的cheese…去了Barrio Tequila Bar 还有The News Room Bar 都还是不错的

昨天大概想了想去Cambodia的形成 打了几通电话 I also have to do some holiday shopping!

交了房租 看完了一本弱智的小孩子的英文书

略略翻了一下最近有人说的大江大海的1949  看了些读后感 难道感怀那些逃难场面惨烈的读者之前没有意识到无论如何国共内战都是战争么？ 只要挂上了战争的名号 那么颠沛流离 那么血流成河 不都是应该在意料之中的么

在公司遇到Hugh同学很多次 在餐厅里他抓住我问你生日是不是快到了 我说er..已经过了呀 He asked if I had a good birthday and I replied happily that I did, had dim-sum, dinner and went skating

Josh说他觉得可以唱I Can’t Help Myself better than Paddy and Angelo, let’s see… 上次也有把You Belong to Me传给他 很很喜欢这首歌的歌词 是自己一直追寻的relationship的写照

工作依然是忙的团团转 去了boss组织的holiday book wrapping 嗯.没忍住.吃了太多的cake…而且和我一起book wrapping的manager说九层这两天没有都有酸奶和甜点啊…简直是害我的说

晚上乐乐和Hugh同时发了条短信 我就抓狂起来 要心平气和心平气和

还好身边一群girlfriends们 随便找人都可以拉着talk talk散散心

日历翻到了最后一页 还有两个星期就可以飞过大洋回家 并没有特别激动的心情却感觉温暖 无论如何都会是个好的假期

离明年还很远 但突然有冲动要去背包旅行希腊和土耳其 恩 一个人静静的远行

需要这样的时间分出来给自己单独的度过和思考

Holiday回来工作还真是挺忙 而且没做什么一天就过去 于是事情pile up起来

原来很担心的开会也比较平静的过去 只有开始的几分钟不能focus  Hugh扫了我一眼我就笑笑 很可恶的是这个人后来还过来问我问题 虽然是工作我们也都是professional, still…

But amazingly, I actually couldn’t help myself and had a big smile on my face which I believe is infectious because he had a hearty smile as well.  Well, hope it goes well and we can truly be friends with each other.  

恩 跟这个Toys for Tots 的人联系也没联系上 我决定stretch myself to show some degree of leadership 虽然我并不是这样的人

收到了Vincent给的Google Wave invite, 不过好像不太会用也…不知道能干嘛…看了这篇文章我知道I am not the only one…

At last, signed up for ice skating class from January – March, should be really fun.  I love skating!

What happened during the last few days was just a little overwhelming. 一直也都没有怎么用文字写下来 也不知道动笔的时候会有怎么的复杂情感 至少这两天慢慢calm down. 不论如何 心情其实是总体来说好很多 不会继续的纠结和nagging

最伤感的可能还是Black Friday的早晨 把DVD还给他 里面夹着简短的note:

回来以后Josh正对着龙猫们摆弄着吉他 然后忍不住的就落下泪来 我说play a song for me  他想了想说 maybe this song is appropriate, hence, 菊花台变成了一首在生命中有意义的歌曲 而Josh 抱着吉他为我唱歌则可以列为迄今为止one of the most touching moments Top10

本来说今天要去买本好看的journal, 每天坚持写日记 即使只是短短几句 跑了Barnes & Noble 还有Target 都没有看到自己喜欢的 (I am really picky I know that)  

Lunch: 很好吃的Sea Bass @ St. Paul Grill , Dessert的size超级huge

最大的收获还是学习了curling，it was a lot of fun! Here is the link from Wikipedia about Curling
